This meeting is to be held in conjunction with the academic committee from BAUS and also in partnership with The Urology Foundation.

There will be academic presentations in the morning, followed by an academic poster session. This will run in parallel with a podium session in conjunction with TUF for research proposals.

The afternoon will open to the Malcolm Coptcoat short papers meeting, and will finish with our guest lecture, to be delivered by Professor Olivier Traxer, key opinion leader in endourology.

Topics include:

  • To encourage participation in urological research
  • To expose trainees to the concept of competitive application for funding
  • To reward high quality clinical presentations

Speaker's biography

Professor Olivier Traxer is currently Professor of Urology at the University of Paris 6th (Pierre et Marie Curie) and works in Tenon Hospital (academic hospital). After completing his training in general urology in Paris, Professor Traxer did a research-fellowship at Southwestern Medical School, University of Texas, Dallas-Texas (under the supervision of Professors Charles Y.C Pak and Margaret Sue Pearle) to subspecialise in endourology and kidney stone management which represents his main field of interest.


Professor Traxer is widely considered as a key opinion leader in endourology and is highly respected in this field.
