about this event

We are pleased to announce that Dr Adam Kay will be giving the 2018 London Clinic lecture.

Dr Adam Kay is a former registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, an award-winning writer of TV comedy and best-selling author of This is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor

Like they teach you in GCSE physics, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Breaking bad news, and dealing with death or complications take their toll on the caregivers; a fact that medicine has stuck its fingers in its ears about for decades. Is the fact that doctors can’t look after themselves one of the major factors in the current retention crisis? Or is it the least of medicine’s problems right now? Dr Adam Kay will discuss caring for the carers.

Please note, seats in the main auditorium will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Additional seats will be available in an overflow theatre, where you can watch the lecture via video link.
