About this section
To promote a scientific approach to and understanding of the palliative management of patients, their families and carers. The objectives of the Section include to stimulate research collaboration between Section members and other disciplines, to serve as a link between disciplines in palliative care and to disseminate good practice and establish standards.
Anyone with an interest in the activities of the Section.
Section meetings and conferences are usually organised by members of the Section council, led by the Section President.

This highly desirable 6 day course is spread over 6 months and will provide a robust grounding in all aspects of therapeutics in palliative medicine. The course is highly interactive using a variety of teaching methods. The core group of tutors (Independent Teaching Group for Palliative Medicine, ITGPM) is supplemented by guest speakers.
