The 2018 Nomination Process for Election by the Council members to the GP with Primary Healthcare Section RSM is now open to all members.

We invite you to either nominate a section member (with their consent) or self -nominate yourself as a candidate for Council Membership.

Play a part in creating a successful and exciting programme for our 1000 plus members and be associated with the important role we contribute within the RSM.  Click for more information on the role and the application process and for a nomination form.

About this section

Purpose:

To provide a national independent forum to promote high quality education, networking and an exchange of ideas on topical and emerging issues in primary care by learning with, from and about other professions.

Section members:

General practitioners, nurses and nurse prescribers, primary care professionals including nutritionists, optometrists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, osteopaths; physician associates, practice managers and all individuals providing primary care advice to the community.  

Section council:

Section meetings and conferences are agreed by members of the Section Council, led by the Section President, having been advised by the Sections Events Steering Committee, whose role is to identify needs within the Primary Care community.

Both Council and the Events Steering Committee are composed of a broad range of primary care professionals and one lay member and meet three times a year.
