Tuesday 16 May: livestream 6.30pm to 8.00pm

The emerging reality of curing metastatic solid tumours with immune checkpoint inhibitors will be explored in this year’s Steven’s Lecture, to be given by Professor James Larkin, Consultant Medical Oncologist from The Royal Marsden Hospital in London. The Steven’s Lecture is one of the RSM’s key annual public lectures.

Thursday 19 May: livestream 5.00pm to 6.30pm

The UK’s four Chief Medical Officers will present the 2022 Faculty of Public Health (FPH) DARE lecture to celebrate the contributions of the public health workforce in the past, during the global pandemic and into the future. The event marks the 50th anniversary of the FPH.

Friday 20 May: livestream 10.00 to 4.30pm

This event will examine the traumatic experiences within the maternity journey, the impact of historical trauma on the experience of pregnancy, birth and the quality of healthcare received, best practice in trauma-informed care, and psychological experiences of women during their maternity journey. 

Deadline reminder: £1,000 prize open to journalists

The Sarah Hughes Trust is inviting submissions from any established journalist or healthcare practitioner and/or trainee who has debunked fake news in the field of health or medical journalism.
