Hypnosis and cancer, and Professor Jane Somerville

Monday 13 December: livestream from 4pm

This event will provide insights into how hypnosis can be employed to reduce psychosocial distress in cancer patients. There will be a discussion on psychedelics in hypnosis led by neuropsychiatrist Dr Mayur Bodani, and Leslie Walker, Emeritus Professor of Cancer Rehabilitation at the University of Hull, will present the 2021 David Waxman Memorial Lecture.

Tuesday 14 December: webinar from 7pm

Professor Jane Somerville, cardiologist to Britain’s first heart transplantation and founder of the first World Congress of Paediatric Cardiology, will join Professor Roger Kirby, President of the Royal Society of Medicine, for a conversation about her career, how she paved the way for women in cardiology, and the work of The Somerville Foundation.
