As we enter the first winter living with Covid-19 following mass vaccination, Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert, Professor Sharon Peacock and Professor Sarah Walker will discuss vaccines, variants and infection in this special webinar from the RSM’s COVID-19 Series. After one-on-one interviews with these leading authorities, a panel of clinicians and public health experts will discuss whether our systems and services are ready to manage the challenges and potential strain on the health service that winter brings.

Mr Noor ul Owase Jeelani, consultant paediatric neurosurgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH), world leader in craniopagus twin separation and founder of the charity Gemini Untwined, will join Professor Roger Kirby, RSM President, for an online conversation about his surgical career and how a background in law and business has shaped his approach to multidisciplinary patient management and improvement in overall care and outcomes. Thursday 23 September: 9.10am to 1.00pm

This live stream will help doctors understand the challenges and experiences of training women in an Armed Forces environment and will offer an understanding of the context within which women in the armed forces function. The event will include contributions from representatives from the British Army and the United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine.
