Literature search

Need extra help with your literature searches? Or do you want to check that references are correct and that nothing has been missed off research papers?

The RSM’s Literature Search service utilises the skills and expertise of our librarians, who can help carry out searches on your behalf, including biomedical and scientific databases.

This service is only available to RSM members and Temporary members for a small charge.

The RSM offers three types of literature searches:

database search

Database searches

Provides a comprehensive search of online biomedical and scientific databases, including Medline, Embase, Allied & Complementary Medicine (AMED) and DH-Data.

manual search

Manual searches

If a request cannot be answered by a database search, the RSM Library can carry out a manual search of the collection.

Bibliographies

Reference checking

The Reference Checking service checks manuscripts and documents before submission to help verify references or complete missing details.
