Raising awareness of the health impact of climate change

On Friday 16 December the Royal Society of Medicine and Faculty of Public Health will provide an essential post COP 27 update to increase understanding of how climate change impacts human health.

Experts in the field of climate and health including Sir Chris Whitty, Chief Medical Officer for England, will speak at Climate and health – post COP 27, which will be live-streamed from the RSM.

Professor Kevin Fenton CBE, President, Faculty of Public Health and Professor Maggie Rae, President, Epidemiology and Public Health Section, Royal Society of Medicine, will also speak at the event.

RSM President, Professor Roger Kirby recently took part in Ride for their Lives, a 15km bike ride organised by the UK Health Alliance on Climate Change to raise awareness of the real health impact of climate change.
