The RSM offers many prizes and awards throughout the year for students, trainees, and other healthcare professionals, to help progress their careers.

Previous winners

Joanna Park, a final year medical student who won the RSM’s 2022 Norah Schuster prize for the history of medicine, said she was ‘delighted and honoured’ to win. Joanna had the opportunity to present her winning paper on ‘shell-shocked’ soldiers at the Royal Edinburgh Asylum during and after the First World War at a special presentation evening and received a year’s membership for the RSM as part of her prize.
