Join us for this educational event which will bring together eminent sports and exercise medicine clinicians to explain the benefits of physical activity and discuss the importance of and the practicalities of integrating exercise medicine into clinical services.
The purpose of the meeting is to educate healthcare professionals about the benefits of physical activity and share knowledge of how to encourage patients to increase their physical activity levels safely during consultations.
The main outcomes are helping participants to understanding the key benefits of physical activity, particularly in relation to respiratory conditions, and for participants to learn skills and techniques for discussing physical activity with patients.
By attending this meeting, you will:
Enhance your understanding on how to prescribe physical activity safely.
Be able to describe the benefits of physical activity for the prevention and management of different conditions including lung cancer and COPD.
- Be able to describe ways of integrating exercise medicine into clinical practice.
Understand the different causes of breathlessness during physical activity.
The primary aim of this meeting is to provide healthcare professionals with education around physical activity and the prevention and management of chronic disease.
