Several recent studies have suggested that coronavirus causes significant cognitive impairment, but scientists are still trying to understand the cause of these neurological effects and the length of symptoms.

In this episode of the COVID-19 series chaired by Dr Laura Benjamin, Dr Timothy Nicholson and Dr Benedict Michael will present the neuropsychiatric effects and neurological complications of Covid-19 on the brain.

Dr Laura Benjamin is a Principal Clinical Research Fellow at The MRC Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Biology, UCL and an Honorary Consultant Stroke Neurologist at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. Dr Timothy Nicholson is a Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry Psychology and Neuroscience, Kings College London.
