During this stage of the pandemic, managing local outbreaks is the key fight in controlling the spread of the virus.

Chaired by Dr Ebere Okereke, lead of Public Health England’s IHR Strengthening Project, this episode will feature Ivan Browne, the Director of Public Health for Leicester City Council, speaking about the experience of imposing and managing a local outbreak of COVID-19.

We will also hear about the modelling behind spikes of COVID-19 and how to recognise and mitigate outbreaks from Dr Marc Baguelin, Lecturer in Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Imperial College London, and Dr Lilith Whittles, Postdoctoral Researcher in Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Imperial College London.
