Register to join Episode 40 'Back to school: infection, risk and mental health' on Zoom here.

As schools reopen across the country, we take a look at the implications this could have on the spread of COVID-19, and the impact of the pandemic on children and young people’s mental health.

Chaired by Victoria Macdonald, Channel 4 News Health and Social Care Editor, the webinar will feature Ofsted Chief Inspector Amanda Spielman, and Professor Russell Viner, President of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

We will look at the evidence surrounding infection in schools, the plans in place to mitigate any risks, and how the reopening might influence further spikes of the virus.

The panel will also cover the mental health impact of the pandemic on children and young people, the size of the potential problem, and how we should monitor and assist in dealing with these issues.
