This one-day #RSMOSCE revision course, with qualified examiners, will give you the chance to practice and perfect the skills needed to pass your final year OSCE. In groups of up to four students you will rotate around all of the following 14 stations for 30 minutes each:
- Difficult communication scenarios
- History taking
- Examination of cranial nerves
- Interpretation of ECGs
- Lower and upper limb neurology examinations
- Cardiology examination
- Respiratory examination and PEFR
- Abdominal examination and DRE
- Varicose veins examination, lower limb arterial examination and ABPI
- Examination of the knee and hip
- Thyroid and breast examinations
- Urinary catheterisation and urinalysis
- Radiology
- Prescribing
*Please note that due to time constraints it may not be possible for all delegates to have a turn on every station. Examiners will ensure that delegates have an equal amount of practice and students will also benefit from observing others and hearing feedback.
Examiners
Students will be assessed on each station and will receive feedback and tips from examiners. All examiners for final year OSCEs are MRCS, MRCGP, MRCP qualified to ensure the highest level of examining at each station.
