This webinar will provide students and doctors with in-depth and valuable information about psychiatry, training pathways and exciting possible career prospects in psychiatry. We will provide a forum in which participants will have ample time for questions and discussion with psychiatrists who are currently pursuing higher training and consultants from different specialties in psychiatry.

Speakers will illustrate the abundance of opportunities for career development in psychiatry and the exciting opportunities that are available at every stage throughout your career. They will also provide up-to-date information on application processes, and elaborate on what is involved in training for a career in psychiatry.

This course aims to inform and encourage those who are considering a career in psychiatry as well as those considering a change in career direction.

During this webinar you will:

  • Gain an understanding of career pathways in psychiatry through interaction with senior trainees and consultants from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Learn how to apply for training posts, how educational programmes in psychiatry are run and how training is provided.
  • Explore how consultant careers in psychiatry develop and how to engage in long-term career development through clinical psychiatry, academia and management.

We aim to encourage students and doctors to enter into a career in psychiatry by revealing the extensive possibilities within the field.

We would like to thank our sponsor Royal College of Psychiatrists for their support of this webinar. Please note that the scientific programme and content has not been influenced in any way by sponsor.
