Join a starred multidisciplinary group of speakers to hear and debate about new developments and understandings in the fields of neuroscience, social science and psychiatry, and their interrelations.

Learning objectives

  • To facilitate dialogue between social scientists, including sociologists and mental health professionals, including psychiatrists
  • To use the emerging field of social neuroscience as a medium through which to bring the diverse disciplines together
  • To enhance mental health professionals' understanding of the concept and substance of "social" as understood in the social sciences
  • To enhance social scientists' understanding of biological contributions to social relations, including relevant psychiatric issues
