About this event

  • Date and time Tue 14 Nov 2023 from 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Location Royal Society of Medicine
  • Organised by Paediatrics and Child Health

Join us for our annual event, where we bring together the UK cystic fibrosis (CF) community to explore the latest advancements in CF care over the past year. With a focus on areas of new research and high client interest, this event offers a unique opportunity to stay informed and connected.

In addition to gaining knowledge about CF care developments, the event also serves as a platform for the "next generation" of CF clinicians to showcase their cases and gain valuable experience and education.

Call for Fellows cases:

The fellows’ round session will include 4 cases from paediatric and adult departments. Each talk will be allocated 20 minutes, case presentations should last 10-15 minutes to allow 5-10 minutes for discussion.

If you would like to submit a case, please send a single side of A4 outlining the case and highlighting discussion points to: anna.shawcross@mft.nhs.uk and r.pabary@rbht.nhs.uk

Deadline for case submission: Friday 15 September 2023

By attending, you will:

  • Understand the role of exercise in the care of individuals with CF
  • Hear expert advice and opinion around the nutritional management of people with CF
  • Consider the long-term follow up options for patients with CF SPID
  • Attendees will be updated on the status of ongoing research studies for those patients not currently eligible for CFTR modulators
  • Through the “year in review” and “fellows rounds” sessions, attendees will gain additional learning in different aspects of caring for people with CF
