Revision knee replacement is a challenging and complex procedure but an understanding of the underlying cause of failure enables a surgeon to direct their surgical plan. In this webinar, 2 established knee arthroplasty experts outline the common reasons for failure and present the latest diagnostic and surgical to achieve a satisfactory outcome.

The topics of discussion will be as follows:

  • Gain awareness of the common causes of failure of knee replacement, both aseptic and septic and understand the role of imaging and microbiological techniques in diagnosing the cause of failure.

  • Understand the determinants of good outcomes of revision replacement including surgical approach, component removal, reconstruction of the joint line and posterior condylar offset and the use of offset stems, as well as choosing the appropriate level of constraint.

  • Improved awareness of best practise to minimise infection after knee replacement as well as the role of a multidisciplinary approach in managing established infection.

A certificate of attendance and CPD certificate with CPD credit(s) will be issued to those joining the webinar live. Certificates of attendance for CPD will be automatically issued after 7 days, but only where a delegate watches the webinar live in its entirety.
