This live stream event will cover all aspects of ocular surface surgery for the general ophthalmologists. Fundamental areas such as the principles of surgery to the ocular surface, techniques to remove tissue, control healing, and altering the properties of tissues in the management of ocular surface conditions will be covered in detail by experts in the field. 

Topics include: 

  • Principles of tissue handling during surgery to the ocular surface
  • Tissue responses following surgery to the ocular surface
  • Techniques for pterygium excision and procedures to prevent a recurrence
  • Role of a biopsy in the management of ocular surface tumours and techniques to optimise outcomes
  • Options for management of corneal perforations and techniques for corneal glueing
  • Management of patients with keratoconus suitable for cross-linking
