Dr Inigo Perez
DVLA Doctor, Swansea
All doctors see patients of working age on a daily basis, but how many of us stop to consider the impact that our patient’s health problems can have on their ability to work safely and efficiently, or how we could help them to overcome any difficulties that they may be experiencing in the workplace?
Employers have a duty of care to their employees and a range of responsibilities under employment and disability legislation, but they need expert guidance to be able to support them.
This meeting will examine how ophthalmic problems can impact our patient’s fitness to work, and will focus on ways we can collaborate with colleagues to help patients with visual impairments to continue working safely and enable them to continue playing an active economic role in society.
