Enjoy this opportunity to update your knowledge across the broad spectrum of military general practice. From Pre-Hospital Emergency Care, through lifestyle medicine and best practice clinical care, to future research that will translate into daily practice, this conference will be packed with useful information relevant to every GP working in Defence. GP trainees and Primary Care Nurses will also benefit from the updates and insights brought by top speakers.

This unique event will update the Defence GP cohort about changes occurring in medicine relevant to general practice, communicate new technology and processes designed to support operational military general practice, and Promote communication between GPs of the different Services.

The meeting objectives include:

  • To know about current best practice in military general practice
  • To be able to introduce and audit the adherence to best practice in the individuals' medical centres
  • To be able to understand and describe medical innovations that are being introduced in the operational arena
  • To know how to develop an individual special interest within Defence general practice

Application guidelines

Submit a poster presentation; showcase your excellent quality improvement initiatives or research projects to share best practice throughout the defence medical community. The submission can include diagrams and pictures. The poster should be submitted as a single page MS Word or PowerPoint document, either single or double-column format.

Poster design templates can be requested from PS.GP@rcdm.bham.ac.uk.

Your posters will be displayed during the GP Update conference, the best will receive a prize.
