About this event

  • Date and time Thu 22 Sep 2022 from 9:30am to 22 Sep 2022 at 4:00pm
  • Location Royal Society of Medicine
  • Organised by Maternity and the Newborn Forum

The PIVOT-AL collaborative was formed during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, allowing researchers to share learning and develop collaborative research regarding maternity and children's health services. During this event, 2.5 years of shared learning will be synthesised and presented with a particular focus on recommendations for the re-organisation, re-build, recovery, and resilient future of healthcare systems in a post-pandemic world. This will also be an opportunity to discuss briefs for policy makers and critical areas for future research.

During this session delegates will gain knowledge of:

  • The findings from individual SARS-CoV-2 studies.
  • The cross-cutting themes from the various researchers involved in the PIVOT-AL collaborative.
  • The implications of these cross-cutting themes for a range of organisations, including Government and NHS policy makers, healthcare practitioners, charity and voluntary sector perinatal and infant health organisations, and service users.
  • The possibilities for service recovery and re-organisation, especially in the light of Integrated Care Systems.
  • How these findings might apply to service recovery prioritisation.
  • Possible future funding sources and projects to examine gaps in the current evidence.

This in-person event offers the chance to virtually watch the first half of the meeting on-demand. The recording will be available three days after the in-person event. Registered delegates will receive the link to the recording via email by 25 September to watch up to 60 days after it’s made available. Please note, the second half of the meeting will not be available on live-stream or on-demand.

This event is not CPD learning accredited.
