Through simulated cross-examination and a series of lectures, joining this ENT event will enhance your understanding of managing consent, risk and ethical dilemmas in surgery and be better prepared for ‘when things go wrong’.
Risk is inherent in what we do as surgeons but how do we effectively consent to this and deal with ethical dilemmas that arise during treatment? How do we mitigate against litigation or cope with it should it arise? This session aims to provide answers and enhance our ability to manage risk.
