How digital innovation and data can improve healthcare
This is the 2nd Sir Naim Dangoor Lecture and a medical innovations briefing organised by the RSM’s Development Office.
Professor the Lord Darzi of Denham is a Surgeon and Director of the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College. He was a Health Minister from 2007-09.
Mr Mustafa Suleyman is the Co-Founder and Head of Applied Artificial Intelligence at Google DeepMind.
This fascinating lecture will examine the complex challenges of improving and bringing high-impact innovation to patient care. Estimates show that as many as 1 in 10 patients are harmed while receiving hospital care and health systems are undertaking an abundance of initiatives to improve safety. As part of this, healthcare has recently turned its attention to digital health technologies and better data to support safer care. Lord Darzi and Mustafa Suleyman will speak about the current safety landscape in hospitals and the potential for mobile-first technology innovation to support safer care.
