Join pre-recorded version of the third general day of the academic year aimed at Cardiology Specialty trainees in their first three years of training. The day aims to provide an overview of the contemporary management of heart failure and will cover classification, investigation and management from the point of diagnosis through to advanced heart failure therapies and palliative care. 

Talks will cover the diagnosis and classification of heart failure, acute and chronic heart failure management and the role of advanced therapies including transplantation and the use of palliative care in end-stage heart failure. Talks will focus on recent advances and potential avenues for future innovation.

This event is primarily aimed at trainees in the first three years of higher speciality training in Cardiology but will also be of interest to trainees in Internal Medicine and other medical specialities, Consultant physicians and all other members of the multi-professional team involved in the care of patients with heart failure.

Participants will be able to:

  • Improve knowledge and confidence in the delivery of optimal management for patients with heart failure
  • Increase awareness of novel therapies and the role of integrated management strategies
  • Improve skills in the clinical management of patients with advanced heart failure, including when to consider referral for advanced heart failure therapies

This is a pre-recorded webinar that will be available seven days after the in-person event on Wednesday 18 January 2023, taking place at the RSM in London. You will be able to view the webinar whenever you like, up to 60 days from when it’s made available.
