Hilary De Lyon was Deputy Chair of the NHS West Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group from 2013 to 2018 and was previously a Non-Executive Director of Norfolk and Waveney Primary Care Trusts. She has represented the West Norfolk CCS on the Governors’ Council of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital from 2010 to 2018.

From 2002 to 2011, she was Chief Executive of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), for whom she was awarded an Honorary Fellowship in 2011. Prior to this she was Chief Executive of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

Hilary has been an independent advisor on governance and strategy to the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health at West Norfolk since 2017; she was also the Independent Chair of the Nominations Committee of the College of Social Work until 2015.

Hilary was ordained as a Deacon in the Church of England in June 2013 and as a priest in July 2014. She currently serves part-time as an Assistant Priest in the Diocese of Norwich.
