Mr Richard Murley has spent the large bulk of his career in the City of London working in corporate finance advising a range of governments and private clients in the UK and overseas.

He is currently Vice Chairman of Rothschild, an independent financial advisory group, and chairs the United Trust Bank Limited, a privately-owned specialist lender based in London.

From 2010 to 2017, Richard was Chairman of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Previous roles also include Director-General of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers (2003-2005), which regulates public takeovers in the UK.

He is a member of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers at the Medical Research Council and a trustee of Macmillan Cancer Support, Crisis and the Epilepsy Society.
