Mr Richard Murley has spent the large bulk of his career in the City of London working in corporate finance advising a range of Governments and multi-national clients. He was Director General of the Takeover Panel, regulating public takeovers in the UK, from 2003-2005.
He is currently a Vice Chairman of Rothschild. Since June 2016, he has also chaired United Trust Bank, a small, privately owned specialist lender based in the City of London.
Since 2010 he has chaired University College NHS Foundation Trust and sits on the Board of UCL Partners, the Academic Health Science Centre. His father was an orthopaedic surgeon and his wife and son are also doctors.
Richard is a Trustee of Crisis, the national charity for the single homeless.
