Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

The RSM has reopened our club, hotel and library areas. Here’s what you need to know before you visit.

Staying safe when visiting the RSM: read the safety measures in place.

Domus Medica and club areas

Our hotel, Domus Medica, is open for bed and breakfast 7 days a week and food and beverages are available Monday to Friday in the Lounge Bar (serving until 8pm). You may only mix with members of your own household or support bubble when visiting.

The Library

The Library is open to RSM members with slightly reduced hours and days of service while we test our processes. We’ll also be re-arranging the study areas and making access to the collections safe. If you have any questions about visiting the Library, please email library@rsm.ac.uk.

Read the FAQs about using the Library and the services in place.

Academic events

No in-person academic programmes are currently taking place. Many of our on-going education programmes are now taking place online and we have a range of education programmes sharing knowledge and understanding of Covid-19 as well. Further details of these programmes can be found on the RSM Live page here.

1 Wimpole Street conference and meeting venue

The 1 Wimpole Street venue is now available for hire. If you would like to enquire about an existing booking or find out more about venue hire, our team is available to help. Please get in touch by emailing enquiries@1wimpolestreet.co.uk.

Visit 1wimpolestreet.co.uk to find out more about the venue.

When arriving at the RSM

As you'd expect, we have been busy making the facilities safe to use. It will look and feel a little different as a result and our catering offering will be more limited. However, the warm welcome and level of service that members are used to will still be the same.

If you or someone you know is experiencing Coronavirus symptoms

Please stay home if you’re experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 or if you’ve recently been in contact with someone who has Covid-19. Visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus for full details.

Everyone at the Royal Society of Medicine is very grateful for your continued understanding and support over these very challenging times.
