About this event

  • Date and time Fri 27 Mar 2026 from 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Location Royal Society of Medicine
  • Organised by Urology

Following the success of the 2024 event, this second edition event provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of innovative, multidisciplinary approaches for efficient, urology patient care, drawn from real-world examples across the UK.

Through educational lectures and facilitated discussions, participants will learn to develop strategies for fostering supportive, collaborative teams that lead to exceptional patient outcomes. This event will also inspire attendees to implement similar approaches in their own settings, promoting the adoption of innovative, team-driven care models.

This hybrid event will be one of the few meetings in the UK in 2026 to bring together trainees, consultants, CNSs, AHPs, and nurses to share knowledge, explore innovative care practices, and foster collaboration. The event will be interactive, with plenty of opportunities for questions and networking, aiming to inspire attendees to deliver care in a similar way.

Why attend?

  • Provide participants with an understanding of how a multidisciplinary approach improves the efficiency and quality of Urology patient care by identifying key benefits of collaboration between nurses, doctors, and AHPs.
  • Explore how new national guidelines are integrated into clinical practice, focusing on areas such as acute kidney stones and prostate cancer.
  • Learn how to implement and sustain best practice models into teams, promoting collaborative care across multidisciplinary settings.
  • Opportunity for participants to evaluate real-life examples of multidisciplinary teams in action, discussing challenges, solutions, and the outcomes of their collaborative work.

Learning outcomes:

  • Demonstrate how collaboration between clinical nurse specialists, urologists, and allied health professionals reduces treatment delays, supports efficient management of acute cases, and improves patient outcomes through coordinated and streamlined care.

  • Leave with practical strategies and tools to apply a team-based approach in their own practices, including leadership and team communication techniques that improve overall care delivery.
  • Develop the ability to implement and sustain best practice models in teams, promoting collaborative care across multidisciplinary settings.

  • Gain knowledge of current best practice guidelines and learn how to effectively incorporate them into their own clinical settings, improving patient care and treatment outcomes.
