This webinar will demonstrate the exciting advances in interventional bronchoscopy, a rapidly-evolving subspecialty of respiratory medicine. The learning objectives will be as follows: 

  • To understand the use of bronchoscopic interventions in the acutely unwell patient
  • To understand the role of interventional bronchoscopy in the management of obstructive airway diseases
  • To learn about the most recent clinical trials in this field, and be able to discuss these trials with the researchers who are leading them

Each session will be delivered by a world-leading expert in interventional bronchoscopy. There will then be an interactive panel discussion.

The webinar will be suitable for anyone with an interest in interventional bronchoscopy, and in particular physicians specialising in general medical, respiratory and critical care.

A CPD certificate with CPD credit will be issued to those joining each webinar live and will be automatically issued after 7 days  to those who watched the webinar live in its entirety. Those who watch the webinar on-demand will receive a CPD certificate 30 days after the webinar has gone live.

Speaker's biography

Professor Rekha Chaudhuri is a respiratory physician and Honorary Professor, whose research focuses on the use of bronchial thermoplasty in asthma. Professor Chaudhuri has led the international 10-year follow-up studies of bronchial thermoplasty in severe asthma.

Speaker's biography

Justin qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine, UK, in 2008. He trained as a respiratory specialist in the North West Thames London  deanery. He as undertaken a PhD in Interventional Bronchoscopy under Professor Pallav Shah and Dr Omar Usmani. His research interests include small airways disease, inflammatory biomarkers, and medical device innovation.

Consultant in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at the Royal Brompton and Chelsea & Westminster NHS Trusts

Speaker's biography

Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London Dr Suveer Singh is an experienced specialist in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, with extensive clinical and research experience in bronchscopy in the acute setting. Dr Singh also leads national courses on the use of bronchoscopy in the acute setting.
