This event brings together an interdisciplinary team of experts including both radiologists and clinicians to promote a shared understanding of current and emerging diagnostic techniques to better inform clinical decision making.

By attending, you will:

  • Learn about the imaging of various paediatric head and neck pathologies
  • Explore the multidisciplinary approach to the management of sinonasal tumours and craniofacial trauma
  • Review the suprahyoid neck spatial anatomy for the purpose of lesion characterization and biopsy planning
  • Explore manifestations of various systemic inflammatory disorders in the head and neck
  • Understand the value of learning from errors and providing safer radiology reports and procedures for patients

Open to: All delegates. The presenting author should register for the meeting.

Application guidelinesAbstract submissions are invited for scientific and educational oral presentations based on any topic relating to Head & Neck Imaging. Structured abstract should be no more than 250 words (excluding title, authors and references) and the best will be selected for oral presentation (6 minutes with 2 minutes for questions) at the BSHNI Annual Meeting on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 June 2023.

Shortlisted presenting author will receive a complimentary conference dinner invitation.

Speaker's biography

Dr Caroline Robson is an accomplished and world-renowned Paediatric Neuroradiologist at Boston Children's Hospital and Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA, with special interest in Paediatric Head & Neck Imaging. She is the past president of the American Society of Head & Neck Radiology and the American Society of Paediatric Neuroradiology. In the Peter Phelps Keynote Lecture, she will impart her expert knowledge in the Management of Paediatric Head & Neck Emergencies.

Speaker's biography

Professor Robinson is a General Radiologist with a special focus on Head and Neck Radiology. She is an active member in the Austrian Radiological Society & sits on the Executive Committee of the ESHNR and plays an active part in the ESR (established Case-Based Diagnosis Training in 2014). Professor Robinson has organized ESHNR online teaching weeks & initiated the ESHNR mentoring programme in 2020, where about 50 international mentor-mentee-pairs are working together, She was the congress president for the online ESHNR conference in 2021. Recently, she has started the ESHNR case webinar series & is a reviewer for Radiology, Insights into Imaging, European Radiology and Neuroradiology.
