The Royal Society of Medicine is delighted to invite you to our Christmas wine tasting party held on Monday 5 December 2022 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Wheatley room at The Royal Society of Medicine, 1 Wimpole Street, London W1G 0AE
This special evening will be hosted by our President Professor Roger Kirby and led by Jane MacQuitty, The Times Wine Critic, and David Gleave from Liberty Wines, who will talk you through a selection of six glorious wines, specially chosen for the festive season. In addition, Jane and David will be happy to answer any wine questions you have. There will also be a selection of delicious canapes served along with the wine.
The six wines to be tasted include a very special and rarely seen champagne, Piper-Heidsieck Essentiel Extra Brut, two whites, a thrilling, steely 2021 Fiano ‘Ciaca Bianca’ Mandrarossa from Italy, plus the unusual exotic, citrussy 2018 Domaine Cauhape Jurancon Sec ‘Chant des Vignes’ from France. The two reds in the case bring you the best from the old world and the new world in the shape of a tasty, traditional claret, 2019 Chateau Mahon-Laville, Bordeaux Superieur, and a classic McLaren Vale Grenache from South Australia, the majestic 2020 The Hundred ‘Blewitt Springs’ Willunga 100, rounding off with a magnificent, figgy, sandalwood-scented Sandeman Ten Year Old Tawny Port.
At £99 for the six-pack, including a bottle of each of the wines, the RSM Christmas case is the perfect festive celebration case to give and to receive. Order forms will be available during the evening with David Gleave on hand to answer any questions about ordering and delivery. Delivery is included for London addresses and just £5 a case for delivery outside the capital.
Dress code: Smart casual.
