Squint Forum 2026

Join the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) Ophthalmology Section for this in-person event that brings together leading experts to provide practical learning, multidisciplinary discussion and updates on two areas of contemporary clinical practice: myasthenia gravis and non-surgical management of strabismus.

One of the few meetings focused specifically on strabismus and ocular motility disorders, the 2026 Squint Forum provides a platform for delegates to explore current challenges, emerging therapies and future directions in patient care.

This year’s programme is divided into two specialist sessions, followed by delegate strabismus case presentations and an expert panel discussion:

Session one – Myasthenia Gravis: A Holistic Clinical Lens 

This session combines rigorous clinical assessment with the latest research developments, offering a holistic view of management. Beyond diagnostics and treatment, delegates will explore the support pathways that empower patients outside the clinic, ensuring a broader understanding of this complex condition. 

Session two – Non-surgical Management of Strabismus: Present Practice and Future Horizons 

Discover how modern orthoptic strategies are reshaping strabismus care. This session examines current best practices alongside emerging techniques that may redefine the field, including the use of botulinum toxin and bupivacaine in the management of strabismus. Delegates will also gain insight into innovations in assessment, care pathways and the future of orthoptic practice.

Learning outcomes:

• Assess the role of botulinum toxin and bupivacaine in strabismus management
