Medicine and me: Coping with losing a baby
Saturday 2 June 2018, Royal Society of Medicine
1 Wimpole Street
Physicians, surgeons and indeed all healthcare professionals continue to learn from and be inspired to greater efforts to improve care by hearing directly from patients.
The audience at this meeting will comprise of those coping with the loss of a baby, their families, carers and advocates, representing about 70% of those present; and clinicians and researchers representing no more than 30%. Clinicians will include doctors, specialist nurses and others involved in the treatment and care of those who have this condition.
Book a place and join Medicine and Me at the RSM as we approach this sensitive subject, illustrated by the sharing of powerful renditions from mothers and fathers whose babies have died around or shortly after birth; with highlights of research developments and debate of controversial aspects of care giving a voice to 'hidden' mothers and fathers.
