Join the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Sections for this half-day webinar exploring innovations in the management of coronary artery disease and its sequelae. Designed primarily for cardiology and cardiothoracic resident doctors and fellows, this meeting will examine contemporary approaches to coronary revascularisation, multidisciplinary decision-making and the management of secondary mitral regurgitation.
As cardiovascular disease becomes increasingly complex, effective collaboration between cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons is essential. This webinar will explore the Heart Team approach to patient care, supporting participants to develop a shared understanding of treatment options and clinical decision-making across specialities.
Through expert-led presentations and case-based discussion, delegates will gain practical insight into patient assessment, revascularisation strategies, risk factor modification and the assessment and management of secondary mitral regurgitation, alongside emerging developments in the field.
Why attend?
- Gain up-to-date knowledge on the assessment of patients before coronary intervention
- Explore the benefits and limitations of CABG, PCI and medical management in contemporary practice
- Understand the role of IFR and FFR in supporting clinical decision-making
- Develop confidence in assessing and managing secondary mitral regurgitation
- Explore how the Heart Team approach supports collaborative decision-making in complex cardiovascular disease
- Learn about emerging developments, including the role of artificial intelligence in coronary artery disease
Aims of the event
