Hamish started his career designing satellite and mobile telecommunications systems before bringing his technology experience to financial services, with a focus on optimising the use of digital technology across retail and corporate banking, payments and financial crime prevention.
He has worked across the industry as a consultant with top tier professional services firms for the past 20 years. His portfolio includes a broad spectrum of clients, from established international institutions to new entrants and FinTech companies, helping them to understand opportunities and manage risks in today’s fast-changing environment.
At the RSM he is Vice President of Council. He Chairs the RSM’s Membership Committee, sits on the Business Development and Governance Committees, and Chairs the Digital Working Group, helping to build the vision and strategy for digital capability across all areas of the Society’s activities.
