Our education programme

We purposefully seek a diversity of voices, which means that whatever your interests, you can be sure of hearing a wide range of perspectives and fresh ideas. We also welcome the active participation of our members. So if you want to build your knowledge as you build your career, or consolidate and continue to develop your interests in retirement, please consider getting more involved with your Section/s. Your perspective is valuable too.

This series gives an insight into the viewpoints and experiences of individuals from across the spectrum of public life, whose interests intersect with ours, often in surprising ways.
COVID-19 Series
This webinar series traces the arc of the pandemic from its earliest days, with expert input from healthcare leaders, including Professor Sir Chris Whitty and Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert. In a word, indispensable.
Bodyswaps
The Royal Society of Medicine and Bodyswaps, an education technology company, have combined forces to deliver next-generation training modules that transform healthcare professionals' soft skills development through immersive artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) experiences.
For me, the RSM has really been a beacon of educational excellence and crucial to my own professional development since I qualified as a doctor.
Learning resources
Our library holds clinical and research material for over 50 specialties, and it is also your gateway to a wealth of digital resources, online courses, webinars and tutorials, which you can access from anywhere in the world. Plus our brilliant library team can help you with everything from literature searches to information skills training.
The Club
As a member, you should consider our Club your central London home-from-home and handy workplace. You can call in for coffee, grab lunch with a colleague, catch up on work or relax over drinks and dinner. You can even stay over at our on-site hotel. We can also cater for significant professional and personal celebrations – including weddings.
Networking
RSM events often raise questions and engender debate and we welcome our members to continue the conversation at our Club. Networking here isn’t just about finding contacts. It’s about being a part of supportive community that understands the joys and the pressures of working in such a demanding sector.
