About this network

Purpose:

Comparative Medicine is a distinct discipline of experimental medicine that uses animal models of human and animal disease in translational and biomedical research. The purpose of this Network is to advance human and animal health through research, education and training.

Network members:

Health professionals who either specialise or have an interest in comparative medicine and its related topics.

Network core committee:

All meetings and collaborations are discussed and approved by the network core committee.

Symposium on Comparative Physiology and Medicine in honour of Professor Bob Michell

On 31st May 2017, the Royal Veterinary College will hold a symposium to honour the academic career of one of the Veterinary Profession’s leading academics of the last 50 years. Bob Michell embraced the application of science to veterinary practice and he did all he could to ensure the profession he devoted his professional life to developed and advanced in parallel with human medicine.
