About this section

The Hypnosis & Psychosomatic Medicine Section’s purpose is to promote the knowledge and understanding of hypnosis and psychosomatic medicine.


All meetings and events run by this Section are open to anyone with an interest in hypnosis or psychosomatic medicine, however Section membership comprises professionals who fulfil the eligibility criteria. Training meetings are open only to professionals or students who fulfil the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria

Those eligible to join this section must hold a first or higher degree in a relevant discipline such as medicine, dentistry or fields related to psychology and be employed in, or retired from, a health-related field such as medicine, psychology, dentistry or nursing.


Applications are invited from those registered with, for example, the BABCP, GMC, GDC, NMC, HCPC and university-based academics.


The Hypnosis and Psychosomatic Medicine Section is a constituent society of the European Society of Hypnosis. We support and endorse its Ethical Guidelines, and which all applications for membership of the Section will need to abide by.

Online Medical Hypnosis for Healthcare Professionals Spring 2024

 

About: This course is aimed at teaching the basics of clinical hypnosis that health professionals can integrate into their existing clinical work.

This course consists of self directed study plus face to zoom sessions online. To get the most out of the limited teaching time it is useful to have completed some pre-reading. The relevant material will be clearly indicated on BSCAH's online learning platform which will be available from early February.

 

Dates:
Module 1: 2nd & 3rd March 2024
Module 2: 23rd & 24th March 2024
Module 3: 27th & 28th April 2024

Modules 1-3: £750 non-BSCAH members / £600 BSCAH members
