Speaker's biography
Alastair's work is held in collections globally having produced commissions for Yale University, Princeton University, Cambridge and Oxford University, the Royal College of General Practitioners, the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of Surgeons, the Metropolitan Police and the Supreme Court.
Most notably he was commissioned to paint Tony Blair for the National Portrait Gallery. Before leaving to commit fully to his studio practice, Alastair also held a research-based lecturing position in visual communication at Loughborough University. He is currently a trustee of the Federation of British artists and archivist for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
