Aim

The aim is to highlight the potential cardiac complications related to cancer therapy, the guideline recommendations for cardiac screening and the value of a dedicated cardio-oncology service.

Objectives

At the end of this meeting the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the risk of cardiac complications with cancer treatment
  • Know the guideline recommendations for screening for and management of cardiotoxicity in cancer patients
  • Understand the cardiovascular effects of androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer
  • Understand the cardiovascular effects of tyrosine kinase inhibitors
  • Understand the cardiovascular effects of breast cancer treatments

 

Advanced registration is advised for this meeting. Lunch is only provided to those who have registered in advance of the day, please be aware food purchased outside of the RSM cannot be eaten on the premises.
