Educational aims

This meeting will discuss:

  • What is PDT and what its clinical applications are;
  • The current state of clinical PDT in the UK and elsewhere;
  • How PDT can enhance the standard treatments for cancer;
  • How the position of clinical PDT can be consolidated for the benefit of patients;
  • What photodiagnosis is and how it can help clinicians
     

Objectives

By the end of the meeting delegates will:

  • Understand more about PDT and its applications;
  • Be able to see the benefits of PDT in clinical practice;
  • Understand difference and similarities between photodiagnosis (PD) and photodynamic therapy (PDT);
  • Have met colleagues who can provide a support network for clinicians engaged in, or interested in, PDT and PD.
