Student and trainee prize, AGM and annual dinner. The Anaesthesia Section's final meeting of the academic year will include presentations from both student and trainee essay prize winners, followed by guest speaker Mr David Nott, OBE, General and Vascular Surgeon at Imperial Hospital, and Surgery on the frontline - author of Sunday Times bestseller and highly appraised "War Doctor'.

Delegates are invited to stay after the meeting to network with colleagues and enjoy a delicious dinner at the RSM. The dinner needs to be pre-booked on this webpage before the event date to secure your place.

Speaker's biography

David Nott is a general and vascular surgeon at Imperial Hospital.  For more than 25 years David has taken unpaid leave to work in some of the world's most dangerous war zone. From Sarajevo to the Congo, from Sierra Leone to Syria. He has also volunteered in countries that have been blighted by natural disasters such as Haiti and Nepal and is one of the most experienced trauma surgeon in the world. In 2015 with his wide, Elly, he set up the David Nott Foundation, with the aim to deliver the best surgical training for medical professionals operating in austere and hospital environments worldwide: enabling them to save more lives
