Opportunity for Casual work - Kitchen Porter

An opportunity has arisen within Support Services for a Kitchen Porter. This role would suit someone who is looking to work on a casual basis and wants to improve upon their understanding on how commercial kitchens are run.

Key duties

The key activities the role holder will undertake include:

  • Manual pot washing.
  • Cleaning duties such as food preparation areas and equipment.
  • Keeping work surfaces and floors clean and sanitised.
  • Assisting in the organisation of the storeroom.
  • Transferring equipment between the RSM properties.
  • Assisting with furniture moves as required.

Candidate specification

To be considered for the role you will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of working within similar kitchens.
  • A good working knowledge and understanding of COSHH regulations.
  • An ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in your approach towards work.

Whilst it is not essential, it would be desirable if you hold a Basic Food Safety certificate.
