Marc Gladman

Marc Gladman currently works as a UKCRC Clinical Lecturer in Surgery on at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
He is committed to the pursuit of a career in Academic Surgery with a strong emphasis on teaching and career development.
His background includes not only General Surgical training but also training and postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
He is currently a mentor for Foundation Year candidates at Barts and The London, Queen Mary's School of Medicine & Dentistry and has an intimate knowledge of the MMC application process.
Prior to MYMC’s successful courses in 2006-7, he was involved in the delivery of career development courses aimed at the transition from house officer to SHO and from SHO to SpR at Advanced Medical Courses (AMC) from 2001-2005.
He is an established academic having completed a period of original research, leading to the award of a PhD. He is committed to undergraduate and postgraduate education. He has been involved with the publication of four books.
Together with Manoj Ramachandran, he is currently working on a portfolio of books specifically written to provide career guidance through MMC training.
He has published 25 original papers, 25 abstracts and delivered 26 presentations (12 of which were at International level) to expert learned societies.
Manoj Ramachandran

Manoj Ramachandran is a Consultant Young Adult and Paediatric Orthopaedic surgeon at Barts and The London NHS Trust and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry. Prior to MYMC’s successful courses in 2006-7, he successfully developed and directed career development courses aimed at the transition from house officer to SHO and from SHO to SpR for Advanced Medical Courses (AMC) from 2001-2005.
He has also directed ‘Training the Trainer’ courses known as ‘Changing the Culture’ in the Oxford region between 1999 and 2002 and has run several surgical courses aimed at final year medical students and MRCS, again for AMC between 2001 and 2005. He is intimately involved in the MMC process afrom FY to ST levels and is on the panel for the London Deanery MMC interview process.
He is the author of seven books and is currently finishing up two further books. Together with Marc Gladman, he is currently working on a portfolio of books specifically written to provide career guidance through MMC training.
He has published 20 original papers, 30 abstracts and delivered 20 presentations (most of which were at International level) to expert learned societies.
