The planning process
The RSM can organise a conference for your company.
The Dean and Associate Dean oversee the RSM’s academic activities and are involved in the planning of all conferences to ensure the Society maintains neutrality and independence.
Conferences are planned up to 12 months in advance.
Once a topic for a specific conference is chosen, a planning group is established to handle its development, management and organisation.
The individuals invited to sit on the planning group include:
- Dean or Associate Dean
- Director of Education
- Experienced RSM conference organisers
- Influential leaders in relevant medical fields.
The planning group members then determine the:
- Title of the conference
- Aims and objectives
- Subject matter to be covered
- Potential speakers
- Target audience
- Details including date, time and venue
The RSM also welcomes suggestions from companies in relation to conference subject matter and speakers. For more information on this please visit our Exclusive Sponsorship page.
