Medical Art Society

Founded in 1935 under the leadership of Sir Leonard Hill and Sir Harold Gillies, the Medical Art Society exists to promote interest in, and the pursuit of, painting, graphic and sculptural arts generally, among Members of the medical, dental and veterinary professions. All Members of the RSM are eligible to apply for Membership.

The Society's programme consists of lectures, visits to studios and galleries, painting days and weekends, drawing from the model, demonstrations and criticisms of Members' own work, with the Annual Exhibition being the highlight of the calendar.
