Become a Friend of the RSM Library
What is a Friend of the RSM Library?
For a number of years we have provided the opportunity to "Adopt a book" to support the conservation work of our Library team.
However, our collection is one of the world's largest and we recognise that many RSM Members and indeed members of the public wish to support this work and become more involved in the work the Library undertakes.
The monies raised will be used in the following ways:
- To purchase relevant conservation equipment
- To fund the cost of conservation
- To ensure the ongoing preservation of the RSM's collection
We are now providing an opportunity to become a Friend of the Library - either as an addition to your existing RSM Membership or for anyone who wishes to support our vital work.
How does it work?
For a small annual fee which will go towards our successful conservation programme, you will be entitled to:
- Receive our Quarterly Enewsletter
Sent to you 2 times a year and providing an update on books recently conserved, those we'd like to conserve and upcoming events. - Enjoy knowing that a number of books have been adopted each year
The Friends will support the conservation of a number of key titles and these will be acknowledged on the RSM website. - Enjoy coming to Private Views and Private Guided Tours of Library
Opportunities to view parts of our Collection not normally shown or on display. Also receive invitations to attend private views of exhibitions within the Library's Heritage Centre. - Become a member of our Virtual Library Users Group (VLUG)
You can be a Member of this group providing the opportunity to ask questions and input views on the development of the Library.
How much does it cost?
The annual fee for a year's support is just £30. In addition, your subscription is eligible for Gift Aid, increasing the amount provided to the RSM
